T O P I C R E V I E WsolarbryI’m an Aries with a Cancer moon. Most of my friends are Leos, Cancers, and Scorpios. I have a huge attraction to water signs even though I’m not compatible with them (by sun sign at least.) My closest friend is a Cancer with a Leo moon, but another good friend of mine, one who probably understands me best, is a Scorpio with a Pisces moon. Which do you think makes for a stronger relationship? Trined moon signs, or sun conjunct moon?RandallWelcome!Hikaru29 quote:Originally posted by solarbry:I’m an Aries with a Cancer moon. Which do you think makes for a stronger relationship? Trined moon signs, or sun conjunct moon? For me Moon-Moon compatibility matters A LOT. Most of my closest friends' Moons conjunct/trine/sextile my Moon, regardless of our Sun-Sun/Sun-Moon match. Compatible moon signs help you to understand each others' emotions well which is important in any kind of close relationship. You said that your Pisces Moon friend understands you the best which is the best testimony.Sure, you can also form close bonds with people of incompatible moons (e.g. I've a Sag Moon and one of my closest friends has a Virgo Moon). We have Sun-Moon trine/sextile DW which is probably why we get along so well... we did a lot of things together, always have fun..etc, but when it comes to what we find important/valued, we don't sync. Her Virgo Moon fuss over small things... my Sag Moon doesn't give 2 hoots... my Sag Moon likes to wing it...her Virgo Moon needs a plan... She's skeptical while I have blind faith...Another guy I know we also have Sun-Moon compatibility DW but incompatible moon signs (quincunx). Again we get along very well...always have fun, etc but deep down we know we don't gel when it comes to important matters. He was seeing this other gal with whom he has incompatible moons. They dated for a while but broke off because he says they're too "different" in terms of rhythm. They also have Sun-Moon compatibility (She's Capricorn Sun, Aries Moon. He's Aqua Sun, Taurus Moon) yet it didn't work out for them. My bestie (Sag Moon) and her bf (Pisces Moon)...she says he doesn't understand her, but with her ex-husband (Libra Moon) she says he understands her well. I noticed the same trend with my other friends. Those I've Moon-Moon compatibility we're able to easily sync on an emotional level..We often sing the same tune, feel the same way, agree on the same things... Whereas for those w/o Moon-Moon compatibility, we don't sync so well emotionally.. But we're still close friends who have fun together because we get along well. Two different kinds of connections.solarbryIt’s interesting that you mention Sun-Moons have a lot of fun together, but ultimately lack emotional compatibility. My best friend, the Cancer with the Leo moon, is my longest lasting friendship and I have a great time with her. I love her character and sense of humor. But I also consider her extremely inconsiderate at times and unintentionally selfish. My pisces moon friend sees a side of me that almost no one else does. Even though my moon is in Cancer, and I am relatively sensitive, next to nobody knows that. I hardly wear my emotions on my sleeve. But it’s like my Pisces friend always knows, and I consider her one of my most supportive and reliable friends. She notices and sees a part of me that people I’ve known twice as longer have never seen. It’s just odd because I feel like one combo makes for a “funner” experience, but the other is filled with more warmth and understanding. Aries23DegreesI think the person whom you.are most compatible with tends to "mirror" your positions.I have Sag Sun/Can Moon. I don't share ur attraction to water signs as friends. I have dated quite a lot air signs. My best friend is Aqua Sun/Pisces Moon.I realise that we both have Mercury/Pluto close to exact in our Draco-natal comparison charts. Mine is exact 0.00 and his has an orb of 0.05.It makes sense. Our conversations are DEEP!With that being said however, there is a strong bond that seems to exist with my Cancer Moon and Pisces Moon people. A select few Scorpio Moon people too.I think the Pisces Moon may "soften" the Scorpio Sun in your friends case. I had a friend in varsity whom i shared a flat with; he had Scorpio Sun with Pisces Moon.He was externally no nonsense mean type of person. But we got on amazingly well. Couldn't figure out why. Till i got his chart and saw we have a nice Moon-Moon exact trine.Hikaru29 quote:Originally posted by solarbry:It’s interesting that you mention Sun-Moons have a lot of fun together, but ultimately lack emotional compatibility. RandallThanks, Aries!ChildofVenusWhat if there is no aspect between the moons but they are compatible?ChildofVenusAny aspect that involves the moon not just Moon/Moon compatibility. I have Moon conjunct Moon with a guy and it’s ok but it’s not all that. I’d rather have Venus/Venus or Sun/Moon. To me Moon/Moon is too much alike not really exciting.RandallBump!RandallBump!Randall quote:Originally posted by ChildofVenus:Any aspect that involves the moon not just Moon/Moon compatibility.
